On my way Group: Most brokers, local or international, let you buy US and Australian shares as Malaysian.

You just need to look at convenience and the commission they charge u. Look at all my stars!! I am with CIMB, you can trade online for US, Singapore, HK shares with other markets added online later. Other than this channel, of course you can open an account direct with Singapore broker or online US brokerage like Etrade, Ameritrade etc.

This is all personal choice as well as your trading style, foreign broker normally offer lower brokerage rate, as a Malaysian and trade with local platform like CIMB, you have CIMB act as a Guarantor for the safety of your fund, then again some might argue that foreign broker also very safe, it all depend on how much trouble you want to go through the procedures, transfer of fund, how much fund you involved as well as your risk acceptance and tolerance.

After you weigh your option if you still interested in CIMB please pm me.

I totally disagree with you. Every market is unique. For example - quarterly result announcement in NYSE vs KLSE.

In KLSE - up few cents. Here I compare blue chips only. Penny stocks are not included in this scenario. Same goes with Analyst upgrade. Mostly nothing will fly after an upgrade in KLSE. Goreng wise, look at China and HK. To thread starter, if you wanna trade direct US Stocks, refer here:
